An exhibition of 5 Puget Sound independent studio jewelers: Julia Harrison, Julia Heineccius, Amy Reeves, Vina Rust, and Rebbecca Tomas. This exhibit is a Pratt/TMAC collaboration, t**he work will be on display at TMAC May 5 - May 31, then at Pratt Fine Arts Center June 7 - 30.

#### Beginning Jewelry / Metalsmithing

Learn the secrets of working with copper, brass and silver on a jewelry scale. Techniques covered will include piercing, filing*,* stamping, hammering, texturing, flex shaft polishing and soldering. Students will be guided step by step in the use of studio equipment with access to a rolling mill and hydraulic press. No prior jewelry experience is necessary, but students of all levels are welcome. Copper and brass provided for in class use, silver available for purchase.

#### Setting Up a Home Studio

Students frequently request advice when it comes to setting-up-shop at home. Ventilation, lighting, ergonomics, noise issues, and tool gathering will all be discussed in this super informative workshop designed to help get you started or fine-tune a studio. Establish a safe and productive metal-working environment whatever your budget. Taught by Jennifer Stenhouse, who has worked and taught in many different studios, from craft centers to production houses. Come and learn from Jennifer's years of experience!

Tube Setting for Faceted Stones

Learn to set round faceted stones in seamless tubing to create tiny bezels for a clean modern look. Learn the tricks that professional jewelers use to set stones quickly. We will practice with 3 mm faceted round stones. Price includes silver tube, copper sheet, use of stone setting tools and cubic zirconium stones. Additional silver available for purchase. Prerequisite: Beginning Jewelry or previous metalworking experience. Take it with the Ring Making Workshop and set a stone in the ring you make!
