Our monthly Urban Sketchers-Tacoma sketch-outing is this Saturday, April 5th. at Engine House #9 in Tacoma. (611 N. Pine St.)This site was built in 1907, in the day when horse-drawn fire equipment protected the North End.The interior of the building was remodeled as it is today in 1971, by Win Anderson and Bob Lane (local urban sketcher). The building is on Tacoma's Historical Landmark list. The current owners have generously agreed to open an hour early so our Urban Sketchers-Tacoma group can begin sketching at its regular meeting time. Be sure to offer them a hearty thanks! So....we will meet at 10 am to begin sketching...and will re-gather at 12:30 to share our sketches and take our usual group photo. There is on-street parking as well as parking in a lot next to the Engine House. If the weather is nice, the Engine House is a great place to sketch both indoors and outdoors. Bring your favorite sketch materials and come join the fun!!!! Some of us plan on staying for lunch after the sketch-out...so please join us if you have time to stay. Hope to see you there!!!
