The Tacoma Habitat Stewardship Program has four restoration work parties coming up in Tacoma in May!
Looking to meet folks passionate about caring for local green spaces and community?
We’d love to have you join us for our upcoming events. No experience is necessary and all are welcome!
We’ll provide all the essentials:

Come check out this unique salt marsh tucked away in the tide flats of Tacoma! Now that spring is here, many of our native plants are blooming- come check out the rainbow of natural colors. We’ll be clearing weeds and mulching around native plantings and mulching along the pathway into the marsh.

Join us for a work party at Wapato Hills! This 70 acre site has prairie-oak remnants, evergreen forests, and wetlands on top of a glacial drumlin! We will be removing weeds such as blackberry, ivy, and scotch broom.

Trafton Slope Work Party

This is a unique natural area tucked away in South Tacoma, consisting of both the more familiar Pacific Northwest forest ecosystem, but also has some oak-prairie remnants. We will be clearing weeds like blackberry, mulching around new plantings and along the restoration pathways.
