Kenneth D. King , designer to the rich and famous, is a professor at F.I.T. (Fashion Institute of Technology) in New York and the Sewing & Design School in Tacoma. Kenneth is known for his articles in Threads Magazine , his books, CD books, TV show (“Sewing Today”), Craftys.com and on-line programs, as well as his excellent teaching skills and his dashing personal style.
Moulage and the Sleeve Draft
Students will draft their own second skin pattern Moulage and construct it in muslin to check for fit. Using this French Couture Pattern Drafting System, taught by Ecole Guerre-Lavigne in Paris , they will then draft a blouse, jacket and overcoat sloper patterns. These patterns may be used to fit commercial patterns or to design original custom fitted garments.

An Evening with Kenneth
Join us for a fun evening of refreshments and Kenneth D. King entertaining us with his wit, Hair of the Dog Jacket design and sewing tips. This is a scholarship fund raiser for students wishing to enroll for sewing and drafting classes at the Sewing & Design School.
