CHECK OUT THE RAVE REVIEWS!

Benjamin Cournoyer as Seymour and James Wrede inside the plant. Photo by Galen Wicks.

"This tongue-in-cheek horror show is beautifully directed by Maria Valenzuela, who
managed to bring out the best acting and voice in her talented cast. Coupled with
choreographer Jimmy Shields doo-wop/Motown-type dance numbers and Terry O'Hara's
music direction and accompaniment, the show is filled with great moves and sounds."
- Lynn Geyer, The Suburban Times. Read the full review HERE [http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?e=0015G62NVqeVR9S2Zh2kwIRWZrD5WeQcnlW857S2HRXb_jlLwZM2W3xWuFht0jxEajMulLBoCYIcR5FfE3xiLp7DqScJthnvvUZJbrO7E7bmzII8__QXF0BFH0oNKITEaiZqIm5rkvnbSkx2Z2DOgmCKt-Z-Xvzt_FXzhjTRyHpSSGdLc8L_QA8EoA-jgJxOax1YRoRSFSiz78=].

"Laurels are definitely in order for Tacoma Little Theatre's current offering ofLittle
Shop of Horrors, a high camp, over-the-top musical comedy that hides its dark side
with exaggerated stereotypes, impossible situations, and flat out gaudy silliness.
It's a wonderful, lively romp with a sterling cast, an inventive set (Micheal O'Hara),
great direction (Maria Valenzuela), superb musical backing (Terry O'Hara), and of
course, the delightful puppets comprising Audrey II, in all their growing iterations."
- Michael Dresdner, Dresdner's Theatre Reviews. Read the full review HERE [http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?e=0015G62NVqeVR804hPRpnFmNdMbjiO3ocnHE3qMuv-a-cclFpflRLSExTnHfj31w7e9Ms6tyNhcAZPRs3pEInzl-Zr6X0Be9NRG1JVLGrg2eqz_MiO2PDorrXr2Ew-kRuM-I1ByYxvEzNPtxH63g3lQONoE__hV2xOo4m09Jwmjxsl9huiqV9dCfKlvEDUCJyeKqguTVqbA8VA=].

"The principals bring their prime cuts to this show. Cournoyer is quirky and klutzy,
but lovable like a wet puppy. Fry plays down the "Jewish shop owner" features of
the character this time so that the character is less than a stereotype and more
of a person...until he becomes plant food that is." - Steve Dunkelberger, The Tacoma
Weekly. Read the full review HERE [http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?e=0015G62NVqeVR9m-PDD2Jql_560cZ3mB4pPsQMZQMPaVqO4qsos0QDGSEjiugEbibN8ckKvMRjkUHOc7LGeaYVzI2hoHV8J7TJr6Ltky_DW348A08B_fQFOkxuxOPLl-WocPd8jo2fvrJnfUkQFopt--LGsuRi2f03epgJ8jpLSSQowZbCYzXBRWt1wNTOexpLwE6lKlEFc1-M=].

"The three main characters - Mushnik, Seymour, and Audrey - fully embraced their
roles effectively. Andrew Fry's Mushnik was a great contrast to Benjamin Cournoyer's
Seymour and Gretchen Boyt's Audrey. Both Cournoyer and Boyt played up the stereotypes
of their characters without ever crossing the line into caricatures. Boyt impressively
managed to maintain the squeaky and affected voice she chose for Audrey even during
her musical numbers." - Joann Varnell, northwestmilitary.org. Read the full article
