Peninsula Art League's May 28th meeting will be held from 7-9pm

at Cottesmore of Life Care, 2909 14th Avenue NW, in Gig Harbor.

Featured are five P.A.L. members who will share new techniques and

insights from WATERCOLOR WORKSHOPS they have taken this year.

Charli Meacham, Myrna Binion and Ceci Anderson will share their

experience from Caroline Buchanan's 3-day watercolor workshop.

Caroline focused on glazing and pigment qualities, which included staining,

luminous, sedimentary or dye.

Kristin Nail will focus on the figurative and portrait work taught by

Mary Whyte.  "I learned many tricks as well as getting the basics on the craftsmanship necessary for this work."  The portrait Kristin painted in

class was purchased by the model.

Mikki Parkhurst will share her experience taking a class from

David Lobenberg, whose teaching style made a big impact on her.

A teacher who teaches painting (Lobenberg) was favored in comparison

to a painter who teaches painting only occasionally.
