David, a gay man, comes of age at the epicenter of the AIDS epidemic in New York City in the 1980's. Although close, the two brothers spend almost twenty years living apart at great distance leading very different lives. When David is diagnosed with HIV in 1988 Peter is suddenly drawn into his brother's life. AIDS brings a sense of urgency to their relationship transforming both men and forever changing Peter's life.
