2023 Start-Up Social

It’s time to start our 2023 Season with an evening of singing and society!

University of Puget Sound University Club.
The Club is located at 1302 North Alder, Tacoma, WA, 98416
on the corner of 13th and Alder. It is a small craftsman-style house.
There is street and university parking nearby. There are three steps up to the front door and a ramp up to the side door.
The evening will include:
- Group singing activities
- Individual auditions*
- Overview of Various Ensembles and Singing Opportunities
- Review of the season calendar and attendance expectations
- Review of performance dates
- Website training and login confirmations
- Folders, checkout and purchase
- Concert Garb information
There will also be nibbles and beverages and plenty of time to chat with fellow singers. It's a party with a purpose! SSCA and our circle of singers have several choral opportunities at various levels of skill and time commitment. Come find your comfort zone!
Bring a friend! Invite others!
*Low-pressure: prepare a short song for confirmation of voice part and placement. This will look more like an open mic (minus the mic) with friends than the traditional clipboard and judgement set-up. You are welcome to do a duet, trio or quartet if you like.
For Tacoma Singing Society we are looking for confident singers who can commit to the schedule, are willing to do some homework, take joy in making music together, and who are pleasant company.
Rehearsals are Tuesdays, 7-9pm
Dues for this season are $150.
This covers music, instruction, hall rental, etc.
*Additional one-time expenses, including concert attire and folders, are not included in dues.

SSCA is working out details for a new non-auditioned ensemble for those who want to sing and learn a bit about music and singing without the pressure of auditions. Performances optional. Just come and sing!
We're looking to launch in late February/early March and are looking for a place to meet. Stay tuned...
