Feeling stuck?  Need some you time? Looking for a connection to your creativity and all the things?! We’re happy to offer this workshop as part of our Creative Resources through the Arts and Cultural Vitality Division.

Join Claudia Linares of @girasolcounselingpllc and Joy Muhammad @whoisgloriajoy and enjoy somatic practices and writing exercises. The workshop takes place at Parable Bookstore from 1 - 3pm on Saturday, May 4th.

Gloria Joy Kazuko Muhammad is an artist, teacher, and community organizer who facilitates professional development workshops with teachers on utilizing social-emotional learning, is a consultant for curriculum development for youth and adult arts programming, and is always down to be a speaker on collective care!

Claudia Linares of Girasol Counseling aims for the de-stigmatization and decolonization of mental health; and advocates for collective healing practices that are grounded in liberation, culture, and spirituality.

Parable Bookstore is a community space with curated books, plants, handmade goods, and more! It is located at 3502 McKinley Ave Suite A, Tacoma, WA 98404

Explore ways for you to connect to your creative self through a somatic writing workshop rooted in the theme of respiration, release, connection, and nature.

During this somatics and writing workshop, we will practice using breath, affirmation, somatic therapy, writing, and sharing during our time together.
