Two Job Openings in Office of Arts & Cultural Vitality

The City of Tacoma's Office of Arts & Cultural Vitality (OACV) is currently hiring for two full-time positions:

COMMUNITY PROGRAMS SPECIALIST:
This position will plan, develop, coordinate and implement existing community-focused arts and cultural programs, workshops and professional development opportunities, and engagement efforts. They will also provide comprehensive communications support for OACV to inform community of cultural opportunities and funding impacts, and will provide administrative support and coordination on a variety of arts and culture initiatives. We're looking for a self-starter with strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills who is passionate about arts, culture, and community, and who is committed to equity and inclusion. This position will have a mix of in-office and remote work days.

TACOMA CREATES PROGRAM ASSISTANT:
This position will provide essential support in the day-to-day administration of Tacoma Creates, with responsibilities including managing and tracking program data, public-facing communications, and supporting community engagement efforts. We're looking for someone with strong administrative and communication skills who is passionate about the cultural sector and its importance in Tacoma, and someone who brings creativity, critical thinking, and a strong equity lens to their work. This position will have a mix of in-office and remote work days.
